Wadi Hanifa Gas- Oil Plant - 15 piastre
This stamp highlights Saudi Arabia’s natural heritage and geographic identity by illustrating a serene view of Wadi Hanifa, the historic valley winding through the Nejd plateau near the capital, Riyadh. The scene underscores the vital theme of nature and resource management in an arid land, showcasing the lush date palms, water flow, and traditional architecture that historically made this valley the agricultural and defensive heartland of the Saudi state. The upper right corner features the royal tughra (monogram) of King Saud bin Abdulaziz, anchoring this celebration of regional heritage to state leadership and institutional continuity. By placing this essential natural oasis at the center of the design, the issue conveys a powerful message of deep-rooted connection to the land and ancestral identity, framing the preservation of the Kingdom's historical environment as a foundational element of its mid-century progress.
